Today, at this moment, I genuinely love my job. I was able to pass on news of acceptance to two students who are or have recently been legally homeless. One has some great role models who have helped shape him over the past few months, and the other, as far as I can tell, has been the beneficiary of extreme kindness.
Whether either of them come to Alma, I know they'll both go to college. And I know that today, I made two phone calls that will probably end up being the highlights of their weeks.
